Menus, KEY OPT, GROUP (1-4)
This feature lets you add a group master function to an intercom key and then select keys to be activated whenever that group
master key is activated. The underlying key assignment for each key in the group can then be activated by the group master
key.
Create a group as follows:
1. Using the SELECTOR control, select GROUP 1, 2, 3, or 4.
2. Tap the SELECT control.
The call waiting window displays TAP MAST.
3. Tap the intercom key designated as the group master key.
The talk and listen indicators for the selected key flashes green, depending on whether talk, listen, or both are
currently setup on the key. This confirms the group master assignment. The call waiting window displays TAP KEYS.
NOTE: You cannot assign group operation to any key that is programmed for solo operation (described below) or
that is locked on or off using button lock. See “Menus, KEY OPT, BTN LOCK (Button Lock)” on page 42.
If you attempt to assign group operation to these keys, the call waiting window displays either SOLO ERR
(solo error), or LOCK ERR (lock error). If an error occurs, group assignment terminates and you must start
again after the problem is corrected.
4. Tap other intercom keys as desired to assign them or remove them from the group.
The talk and/or listen indicators turns green for those keys assigned to the group. (Indicators light according to the
way the keys have been assigned. For example, if a key has been assigned for talk only, the talk indicator is green and
the listen is off.)
