Menus, KEY OPT, BTN LOCK (Button Lock)
Each key may be independently locked on or off. The default setting for all keys is no locking.
1. Using the SELECTOR control, select BTN LOCK.
The call waiting window displays TAP KEYS.
2. Select the keys you desire to lock on, lock off, or no lock.
The talk indicator for each intercom key provides the following indications.
Solid Green Locked on
Flashing Green Locked off
No Indication Not locked
3. Double-tap the SELECT control to return to the previous menu level.
OR
Press and hold the SELECT control for two (2) seconds to exit menu mode.
NOTE:
Remember to save you changes if you want them retained for future use. See “Menus, SERVICE,
SAVE CFG” on page 52.
You cannot assign button lock to any key that is programmed for solo operation or group operation. If
you attempt to assign button lock to these keys, the call waiting window displays SOLO ERR (solo
error), or GRP ERR (group error).
Menus, KEY OPT, CHIME
You can assign CHIME tone to selected listen keys for incoming call announcement.
NOTE: Chime tones work in conjunction with the sidetone feature. By default, the sidetone level is set to MUTE, and
chime tones will not be heard. To use the chime feature, first increase the sidetone level as described on page 53.
1. Using the SELECTOR control, select CHIME.
The call waiting window displays CHIME1.
2. Turn the SELECT control to display CHIME2 or CHIME3 if desired, then tap SELECT.
An audible sample of the chime tone sounds. The call waiting window also displays TAP KEYS.
3. Tap any keys you want to assign the chime tone to for incoming calls.
4. Double-tap the SELECT control to return to the previous menu level.
OR
Press and hold the SELECT control for two (2) seconds to exit menu mode.
NOTE: Remember to save you changes if you want them retained for future use. See “Menus, SERVICE, SAVE
CFG” on page 52.
Menus, KEY OPT, CLR OPT
1. Using the SELECTOR control, select CLR OPT.
The call waiting window displays TAP KEY.
2. Tap the key (or keys) that you want to clear.
OK appears in the alphanumeric display for four (4) seconds, and all options assigned to that key are removed.
3. Double-tap the SELECT control to return to the previous menu level.
OR
Press and hold the SELECT control for two (2) seconds to exit menu mode.
