Communications
The communications screen allows you to select the COM port and baud rate for communication between the PC and
the intercom system.
To access the Communications screen, do the following:
1. From the Options menu, select Communications.
The Communications screen appears.
Communication Status Pane
The Communication Status Pane indicates the data transmission activity between the configuration computer and
the intercom system.
The first green light in the lower right window indicates the computer is sending data to the COM port specified in the
Communications dialog. This indicator flickers occasionally whether the computer is connected to the intercom
system or not, since the computer always periodically polls the port.
The second green light in the lower right window indicates the computer is receiving data from the intercom system.
This indicator is active only when the computer is connected to the intercom system and the configuration software is
in ONLINE mode or SERVER mode.
Connect on Startup
AZedit automatically attempts to log onto the intercom system whenever the program is started.
