n our previous issue (IER Frequencies
#21), we introduced our new range
of gate readers compliant with BCBP
standards: the IER 600, BCBP reader
and the IER 610 BCBP and magnetic
BP reader.
The IER 600 is a versatile, multi-format
2D barcode reader
ideal for both check-in
and boarding applications and dedicated
to airlines and airports which have already
fully adopted the Bar Coded Boarding
Passes. It uses a fixed focus,
omnidirectional flatbed scanner
for simple to use, high speed
barcode scanning.
The new IER 610, a multi-format
ATB and 2D barcode gate reader
,
completes IER's offer. In addition to
the fixed focus, omni-directional flatbed
scanner for high speed 2D barcode
reading, the IER 610 also includes
a motorized ATB reader. The IER 610
is the ideal gate reader for a smooth
migration towards 2D barcode.
Both readers can read Aztec, Datamatrix
and QR Code barcodes on
PDAs
and cell phones.
